I raise / accumulate cash until a single transaction fee would represent 0.5% of the overall trade and then I pull the trigger.

Attempting to time the market is not in my game plan.

Eliminate the 0.5% fee by investing in DRIP's. Granted one does not get to buy at a specific price, but as you quote "Attempting to time the market is not in my game plan"..

My positions are nowhere near final. I am still establishing my portfolio. DRIPping would somewhat close the door on allocating to an exciting new idea at a time that fits my criteria.
