A 2.325% income increase just by hitting the dividend reinvestment button! =) RE: Dividend Announcement Thread! - fenders53 - 05-14-2020 (05-14-2020, 02:24 PM)EricL Wrote:It's a serious income machine that is safe enough. You'd laugh if you watched me manage MO in my port. I always try to keep a few hundred shares. It gets beat up on the quarterly bad news and I am selling puts for more income and find myself overweight. Then it runs up some and I sell some calls to trim. Then it runs three points higher than I thought it would and I am praying for a chance to get more shares. If MO increases the div only 1% a year we are fine for years. I think I would be quite content if the shares would rise a couple bucks a year consistently but it works out even if they don't.(05-14-2020, 02:16 PM)fenders53 Wrote: ol' reliable. Now every time I see a new post here, I'm afraid to look to see if one of my stocks just cut their dividend. RE: Dividend Announcement Thread! - fenders53 - 05-14-2020 Another one safe for now. United Parcel Service (NYSE:UPS) declares $1.01/share quarterly dividend, in line with previous. Forward yield 4.41% Payable June 10; for shareholders of record May 26; ex-div May 22. https://seekingalpha.com/news/3574709-united-parcel-service-declares-1_01-dividend RE: Dividend Announcement Thread! - Dividend Watcher - 05-14-2020 Cardinal Health (NYSE:CAH) declares $0.4859/share quarterly dividend, 1% increase from prior dividend of $0.4811.

RE: Dividend Announcement Thread! - EricL - 05-20-2020 Another cut from the oil patch... Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) declares $0.045/share quarterly dividend, -75% decrease from prior dividend of $0.180. Forward yield 1.61% Payable June 24; for shareholders of record June 3; ex-div June 2. Dividend has been slashed considering the current market conditions and uncertainties regarding the depth and duration of this downturn. RE: Dividend Announcement Thread! - fenders53 - 05-20-2020 Xcel Energy (NASDAQ:XEL) declares $0.43/share quarterly dividend, in line with previous. Forward yield 2.87% Payable July 20; for shareholders of record June 15; ex-div June 12. https://seekingalpha.com/news/3576444-xcel-energy-declares-0_43-dividend The best utility in the whole world. OK, the fact that this was my first successful investment may jade my opinion some. I have some pre-merger shares that are up 1300% with DRIP, and I think my first dividend was maybe 15 cents. I know I was sure excited to see the reinvested dividends post. I don't even remember the details but the stock dropped to sub 8 and I was like "damn! how the hell does a Minneapolis utility head for BK?" Actually they don't, and I doubled down. Got it right this time. RE: Dividend Announcement Thread! - fenders53 - 05-20-2020 National Oilwell Varco suspends quarterly dividend. The hits keep coming in the patch. This was a major player last time oil crashed. RE: Dividend Announcement Thread! - divmenow - 05-20-2020 (05-20-2020, 06:06 PM)fenders53 Wrote: National Oilwell Varco suspends quarterly dividend. Who cares about NOV. it’s been a crap company for years. They were paying .05 cents. Do you really need to post a 4th tier stock that’s way down the food chain lol I know your tricks. You always trying to bring down the sector lol. Just buy some oil. You running out of places to put all that cash you have lying around now haha ? |
