And just solved that "problem" by initiating a position in LHX. Nice little dip today due to a negligible earnings/revenue miss, with a big dividend raise.
FAST Graphs shows it just under a 15 P/E (using its blended basis, not TTM).

JNJ had said they were going to sell the vaccine for cost anyways. Good or bad, I don't think it has much impact on the company's profits.
Also, I don't think the vaccine news is nearly as bad as the market is saying. 85% effective in preventing severe disease and 100% effective against COVID-related hospitalization and death.
Quote:The vaccine candidate was 85 percent effective in preventing severe disease across all regions studied,i 28 days after vaccination in all adults 18 years and older. Efficacy against severe disease increased over time with no cases in vaccinated participants reported after day 49.
The Janssen COVID-19 vaccine candidate demonstrated complete protection against COVID-related hospitalization and death, 28 days post-vaccination. There was a clear effect of the vaccine on COVID-19 cases requiring medical intervention (hospitalization, ICU admission, mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)), with no reported cases among participants who had received the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, 28 days post-vaccination.
The economy can open up completely with those results. Single-shot dose with normal vaccine storage requirements as well.
I stand by my prediction that the economy will be pretty much open by this summer.

The thing I worry about is all these people that won’t take the vaccine and all those teenagers who party and pass it on to others. Those rule breakers will set us all back again. I hope your right as I miss going to all my country concerts lol
I think things will be pretty normal by the end of Summer. Booked a vacation (using refundable frequent flyer miles) for Labor Day week. Pretty sure international travel will be normalized by then, if you have a CDC vaccination certificate (like a yellow fever card for certain countries).
Let’s all thank the traders and hedge funds who knocked down all our good stocks to play the AMC and GME stocks of the world. It will soon pass. Drive all the good stocks to new lows so I can buy lol

If you believe the vaccine is effective and you take, why would you worry some others didn't? You will be safe, right? If someone choose not to take it, it should be their right, like it is with seasonal flu shots.

People who don't take the vaccine become a breeding ground for a virus under evolutionary pressure, which then mutates, and in some cases those mutations render existing vaccines ineffective, then we are back at square one.
Granted, the mRNA vaccines can be tweaked into boosters for mutated strains of the virus, but that takes time. If a mutation like the B117 strain is equally or more transmissible, and overcomes existing vaccine/antibody immunity, the pandemic could be global again (at the same or worse levels) before new vaccines are available. That's why getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible is important.
