I haven't researched it.  Hadn't heard of it until you and Otter were discussing it last week.  I am trying to not add too many more new names.  We'll see how long that lasts.  Smile

What I need is for tech to get hammered for real again, but this market is resilient.

Very small trades this morning.  Added a few shares to DG-ARKF  Sold a few SLV puts.

And a lot of high stock prices Smile Did you sell other stocks to make room for them, or did you have a lot of cash sitting around?

So, bullish on Amazon?  Do tell.

ARCC's 5 year chart looks very similar to HTGC's; both are up 22% in that time.  Knowing it will probably continue to trend upwards over time makes it easier to jump in and not wait for an exaggerated dip.  If you are patient you might see 18.50 again, but I'm crossing my fingers you don't see ARCC in the 16s again.

For what it's worth, all of my purchases were in the 19s.

All that's required for the 16s is a 20% market correction. Not out of the realm of possibility by any stretch.

You aren't messing around today.  Big Grin   I am really hoping for a dip so I can fill out my positions in AMZN and GOOGL.  Berkshire is on my list for the next market crash. I regret I didn't add to all of those last year. I've made a lot of money trading AMZN and the sell usually looked not so great 6 months later. If the market stays bullish will be at $4K next year. AMZN hypergrowth stock price days are likely over but it is much less expensive than most of quality tech. I'll have to update myself on AZO but last I looked I wasn't interested.
Added some JNJ under $173 today. Guess I bought because it had a dip and its hard to find quality stocks to buy anymore lol

I try to only add JNJ when the next gazillion dollar lawsuit is filed against them, but you'll probably get buy with it.  Smile

I had to roll a few put sells forward but no buys today.  I'll get a buying opportunity eventually.  It's getting tough for sure.

I checked up on JNJ today and would have gotten back into it too if I had any fresh funds available.

Have a great weekend everybody!
Forget about JNJ. I am gathering funds for the IPO Rivian has filed for. Only $80B to get in on their truck that doesn't actually exist yet. Ford market CAP is about $50B if you weren't aware. 80B isn't likely to actually happen by showtime but the mere suggestion makes a statement about the loose casino we all play in right now.

Futures are up, once again. I'm actually hoping the market goes down today. It needs to cool off.
We'd probably be better off if we could get a 5% SPY/QQQ dip out of the way soon. Powell keeps talking the market out of it. Gradually getting us used to the idea of tapering so it won't be much of a event. We may just keep on gradually climbing until we get something more substantial to worry about.

Bring it on. I'm sitting on 40% cash so I am waiting for those buying opportunities. $5-$10 moves in some of these stocks doesn't even entice me  Big Grin . I need huge moves down.

Those who are sitting on no cash or few cash are going to get hurt sooner or later. That mentality of buy high and keep buying higher will catch up to you soon enough.

I have trimmed a lot of names in recent days. I'm not giving it back and will wait patiently for once Big Grin . I have done very few buying the past 6 weeks.

Glad I added a lot of BX at that $110-$111 range on that pullback

BMY waiting on $64

Have been adding to NUSI and ABBV below $112 and CVX below $95 for a place to earn income while I wait for better opportunities

That's about all for me. Not much else going on.
40% cash, wow.

Yes I'm very worried.

BX is a great find. That and PRU are my next acquisitions, when I have funds again.

I'm not so far from there.  I sell secured options to collect cash.  Friday comes and the cash creeps higher most every week lately.  I am OK with it.
