Dividend Announcement Thread!
UNH is another I've been watching for several years but haven't bought. Just keeps going higher and higher...

You have to buy UNH on any significant pullbacks. Had a chance a few weeks back at $260. This stock is just one you hold and never look back!

I've missed UNH too. If I really want a stock that just won't drop I eventually give up and just nibble on down days. Then nibble more on subsequent down days and pretend like I am getting away with something. "Precision Dollar Cost Averaging" lol. Don't go all in at once or you'll crash the market for sure. Smile

Amazing considering the 15% raise 6 months ago. Makes up for the freeze a couple years ago when ag sales fell off a cliff. Sometimes patience pays off.

“While the dividend itself is merely a rearrangement of equity, over time it's more like owning an apple tree. The tree grows the apples back again and again and again, and the theoretical value of the tree doesn't change just because of when the apples are about to fall.” - earthtodan

You can thank me for selling. It opened the door to finally raising the dividend!

I'll take it! I'm a big fan of this company. Maybe that's imprudent, given the constantly declining AUM, but the yield is (much) higher than it appears, they have lots of cash, a low payout ratio, and aggressive buybacks. I certainly wouldn't make this a core holding, but I'm tempted to add a little at these prices (which would average my cost down).

Agreed!  I've owned BEN for many years but it's never been a large or core position.
