I actually feel a little jealous about you guys adding RTN. My heart wants to add more but my I know that I have enough. It's still my largest position, though some others have been closing in so RTN is not the only big guy in the portfolio anymore. It certainly looks like a nice buy right now.

Took a full position in GD this morning. I have been waiting to buy that one under $175. 11 PE and a yield of 2.21.

Sold out 2 s&p puts I had bought as a hedge expiring on June for a profit yesterday. For a while I thought markets will keep flying and these will expiring worthless.
Bought tiny position in apple stock. I got myself out at $170 levels( not a smart decision during 2018 december) and entering again now.

Good call on the PFE. Not the fastest grower but it looks really good down here. Dividend is secure.  It's one of my largest holdings or I'd be on it.
divmenow- nothing wrong with GD last time I looked. Pretty much any of the defense stocks are about as safe as it's gonna get for an industrial nervous about near-term global growth. Â
I am going to add something today but thought I'd wait a bit and see if the market is going to stabilize for a hour, or not lol.

I was wondering if you still owned it. It's the same ol same ol debt story in the oil patch.  OXY has some toxic financing. The Warren Buffet loan shark deal looks real bad right now.  I think they were counting on $60 oil. I think we all were. They are in trouble if we visit $45 oil and sit there. The flu could cause just that. I was reading an article the other day. If OXY ever does run, Buffet can execute those warrants and just keep on selling to get that part his money back. In addition to the loan interest that I think is at 8 1/2%.  Â
LOW looks good but I'd want it just a little cheaper. HD (the company) is going to keep outperforming them, but the spread in share price is probably excessive. HD is gonna choke on all that debt when the economy turns. Whatever year that is lol.

We should chat about that on the conservative option thread sometime, or even the "Correction" thread. Not something I am inclined to do today, but there are a number of ways to hedge against equities without losing a bunch of money if the market doesn't go quite the way you thought it might.Â
I closed out some covered calls this week. I got about all the hedge I was gong to get out of them and they still had a month to go. Maybe I can resell them if we get a bounce in a week or two. I can hope lol.  I have a few covered put sales to roll forward too or I'll be buying some overpriced shares. I'm still dancing with MO and BP decisions I made last month.

Yeah I actually sold OXY twice for a profit and I didn't want to take a my chances a 3rd time lol.
Today really is not a good day to buy. I don't like buying unless the market is down big. I just don't see 400 green holding and we still have downside left. Even with the the market dropping 3% we still are no where near over sold. Like really APPL up $9. Why lol?
I'm waiting on the 3 day rule before I buy LOW. Hoping for $110
The stocks I'm waiting to dip further are the ones that will be affected by China like MMM, UPS and SBUX. Just wait until the virus comes to the US. You haven't even seen panic yet lol.  I know the utilities are very over valued but they may be the ones who continue too see new highs. Tech is vulnerable right now and I'm just not ready to dip my toes in that sand yet lol

Yes, AAPL moves blow my mind. Is yesterday's flu all better now? It's just momo day traders and the algos. I just hope the correction doesn't go much deeper. Those clowns start getting forced to liquidate with margin calls and this gets worse for awhile. Another down 1000 and I'd bet that starts happening. I think we are safe for now.

V and TGT are only suitable to add a share or two here IMO. WY and DAL are on the radar for an add. I'm not afraid to own either and fill out my position. DAL is tricky now but the best in their industry. If you like HD or LOW then you can't hate WY, another industry leader that supplies the builders. The WY div is very nice at the bottom of the trading range. I make money selling WY puts most every month.
