I think the Pepsi increase was previously announced, so I'm not sure why it's a news item today.

IIRC, it was during their year-end that they announced the intention of raising in June. Now it's been declared by the Board so it's official. GILD did the same thing and I'm sure some others did also.

I'll take it ... especially after the nice bumps the last two years.

Agreed.  A 7% raise is a good one for an established company like PEP.
