Good article, and this should be a great month for DGI'ers. Of the 5 main ones you identified, I own all but AAPL. I've always thought about jumping in but never have. I'm always scared that one bad product or shifting fads will crush them like Nokia, Blackberry, etc. Anyone have thoughts on AAPL?
My dividend income in the first quarter was up 26.6% over last year.
Here is my quarterly portfolio update looking at the numbers:

Enjoy!
Great article, and I love the layout.
A little late in getting this out, but my quarterly portfolio update was posted on Seeking Alpha last week.
DGI For The DIY: Q2 2017 Review
A pretty quiet 3 months in the portfolio!
It's been a quiet quarter for me, as well. I like your quarterly contributions graph, too. And I agree with your point about healthcare, utilities, and staples right now.
How do you like Cracker Barrell, Eric? I've never bought but have been watching it for years...

I like CBRL a lot. It's a slow and steady grower, adds a handful of stores a year and just sort of keeps chugging along with high single-digit growth, plus you've gotten the special dividend kicker the last few years as well.
A tad expensive right now, but has a 3.1% yield that I think will continue to grow at a 6-10% rate.
