I knew you were getting beat up today. My port was down almost a full percent today and that's a big hit for me. I am nibbling into chips with you. I don't know what month but they will bounce.
My DGI portfolio was down just 0.11% today.

Winners were CVS, JNJ, NSC, T, UNH.

Losers were QCOM, AAPL, OHI.

Heh, for what it's worth, it wasn't my biggest beating in the last week even.

Since my E*Trade portfolio's high of $280K after the second week of April, I'm down to $266.8K.  So sad, but not tragically sad.  Still, I don't want to be losing ~$7K a week much longer...  But yeah, I diversified my triples into energy, banking, industrials, transportation, etc. so I'm much less nasdaq than I used to be.  However, still a lot of SOXL/TECL/WEBL ... so yeah when the bottom falls out I'm still down.

Hopefully both our ports will recover soon! Yours will probably be all better in a few days; mine might need until mid-summer.

That's what a good DGI port does.  These are baby index drops in a bull market.

Looking at my dividend stocks only, today was similarly only slightly down.  2 2% gainers, 3 1% gainers, 5 1% losers, 1 2% loser, and 1 3% loser, and everything else < 1% either way.  And there were triples today that were positive like FAS and CURE, so the problem is more that I'm too SOXL heavy, but that's because I haven't rebalanced it.

You'll never be repeatedly be completely right any given week.  I just try to lean it this or that way 10% or so and catch some of next months wave.
Another day that started out pretty good, then leaked its gains until I was barely up by the end.

Today's winner was ERX, the energy 2x ETF, up 6%. It's mostly Exxon and Chevron. I added it just a few days ago.

Today's loser was, to no surprise whatsoever, the volatile LABU. I'm going to stick with it despite its recent downturn.

Well both of those were in the ROTH, home to most of my ETFs. Over, in the taxable account, RIO was the big winner, and DFEN was the loser. DFEN is mostly Boeing and Raytheon. DFEN is one of the triples I don't worry about; outside of the pandemic drop it's a steady gainer over time.

Also of note, OXLC was up 2% today, giving me 8.57% year-to-date, and it just joined "the 20% club". I.e. 8.57% gain + 11.91% yield = 20.48%. Pretty cool for a value trap.
Oil up and VSTO my ammo stock continues its run into earnings they will crush. Probably dip after that because nobody expects otherwise. My best pick the past few years excluding buying the Covid crash when everything worked.

Port ended the day flat.
Winners: CVS, CVX, EOG, XOM
Losers: NEE, O, OHI, STAG
Today was crazy. Most of the day was a total bummer, but it was like that Mother's Day Miracle Red Sox game of 20 years ago (in which I was in attendance). In the 9th inning the stocks and etfs staged a huge comeback and the day ended strong.

Today's winner was FAS, the financial services tripler. The top stock was LOW.

Today's loser, now that I cut LABU, was WEBL, but by day's end he wasn't down very much.

Still $10k off my all-time high.
Anything gold had great day. Getting my face ripped off by ENPH. Option stuff but I will get assigned some overpriced shares if it doesn't bounce soon. My boring port was a yawned again today. It seriously rarely moves $500. A little too defensive for now.
I haven't gotten into gold, or oil, or silver.

My port moves a lot on a daily basis, but I compared yesterday's closing values of the taxable and ROTH to the 4/30 end of April closing values and guess what - they are practically identical. I lost $100, that's it.
