I haven't looked at my account in a week. I will look on Nov 30th to record the monthly totals in my spreadsheet and send the dividends over to my bank account. I'm tempted to have my daughter sign in and do the deed so I don't have to actually see the totals Smile

If it's truly like that when indexes are a few percent off all time highs you maybe need to be in index ETFs only for peace of mind.  I doubt you have much of anything down vs 30 days ago.

Eh, I'll be fine.  It is really part of a larger effort to look less often and think about other things.  I have conviction in all of my remaining positions and I have no fresh money to invest with, so there's no reason to look.
I am usually shopping on dips so I see the difference. I watch for another reason though. When I study the unhappy side of the market, I learn and am less likely to repeat errors if any were made.

More balance in my life would be good, so point taken there.
I see the indices are all way up so Friday's losses were probably erased. I hope those of you bought on Friday were richly rewarded today. Next year I will have cash for dips!!!
2% moves not so much but yes when a stock you like dips 10% it's nice to be able to add a few shares.
So, in the end, the numbers for November aren't that bad.

The taxable account generated $8k, and given my weekly annualized profit had been $1192, that's almost twice a normal 4 week month. However, because it is replacing the great and mighty November of 2020, my weekly annualized profit fell to $1083. Other statistics: The yield stands at 2.65%, and annual estimated dividend income is currently $7,022.81

The ROTH did almost nothing, netting me $1k, and its weekly annualized profit fell from $1052 to $847.

Let's see what December brings!
December may be fine as long as the new variant doesn't close many countries down so supply chains can catch up some after Christmas.. We'll get our correction someday but maybe not until rate hikes and re-opening is finally over. We are due for some normal year returns. There are finally some deals other than Mega Cap. Take them out and the valuations look reasonable for all the major indexes.
Now that I've made my moves today, now I'm supposed to not look until Dec 31st. Yikes it will be hard!

Get over that BS.  Learn to endure the part part of investing and don't react. We would miss your panic posts when your stocks don't go up for a whole after you bought them.   Big Grin

Missing an important time period there!   A whole hour?  A whole day?  A whole week?  Inquiring minds want to know.

They didn't hire me for my typing skills. Smile  I meant  a month.  You seem to be OK with being down for a week as long as it is tech lol.
