I was waiting for that one.  The COMP comparisons will be rough for the Covid companies that normally grow slow.  I might be interested in CLX six months from now.  It will find a bottom.  In the meantime retailers still have pyramids of cases of bleach to sell, to include new generics.   They need to sell it down before they order again.  Not to mention the 50% price spike will be gone.  One more bad quarter is my guess.
Taxable down $600, ROTH up $400.

Movers & shakers: MRNA up another 8.42% thats about 19% in 2 days wow, TTD up 3.94%, SOXL up 3.57%, DFEN rocked down 6.29%, RETL bombed down 7.99% ouch!!!

I'm a little upset with myself because yesterday morning, when I closed out WEBL, I moved all the proceeds into GOOGL, and I thought about splitting it with MRNA, but I didn't. Oh well. I am very pumped about the future of all the mRNA technology, and will be buying more Moderna, Pfizer, and Novavax in the near term.
No big movers but all I see is red, red, red.

You should have bought PFE in 1996 like I did. That was a joke but it wasn't funny. Long time since I've seen that pooch run.
CAH down 14.26%

Yikes that's a lot!

*****

Another lovely day ... let's see if there's anything outstanding.
  • FAS up 3.57%
  • RETL up 3.55% reclaiming half of yesterday's loss
  • DRN up 3.51%
  • DFEN up 3.31%
  • ISRG up 2.85% I need to buy more of it
  • OXLC up 2.05%.  I know it's supposed to be a "yield trap" and all, but the capital appreciation has been an unexpected pleasure in addition to the 11% yield.  I don't know when the fun will end, but I'm riding it for now.
  • TTD down 3.54%
  • RIO down 4.28% ouch
PENN up 9% ENPH down 5% yesterday. MGA just cut guidance perhaps today loser. That was some self inflicted pain. I definitely chased it.
Flat day. Taxable up 0.09% (ath), ROTH (which is pretty much all NASDAQ) down 0.28%. Given that the Nasdaq overall was down 0.40% today; I'd say my de-leveraging program has worked well.

Only stock/etf of note is FAS, up 5.79% and finally back over $10k.
SUNRUN got about a 9 1/2% haircut. Port was flat. Although this thread is generally useless information, I am paying attention to which of my tickers consistently hit the daily tracker.

Wow, ouch.

My girlfriend doesn't like investing, but she did start a small account this year or late last year.  She is 100% invested in solar because "it's the future".  When I ask what specifically she's invested in, she can't even (or doesn't want to) name the funds. I wish I could convince her to diversify.  I've had such a great run this year, and she's down for the year.

I don't own any solar ETFS.  I did last year.  Profits this year are from swing trading individual solar stocks.  It's my best sector the past 12 months except outdoors stocks.  I have six solar tickers and one of them is down YTD (my entry prices).  They got smoked in FEB-MAR and that is when I bought most of my current shares.  Some of them are the future, and a few of them will be devoured by the well run ones.  Solar is the future, and so is EV.  Now go buy six random tickers in either and lose 2/3rds of your money.
Weird day. Taxable down, ROTH up.

Taxable
The top gainer was ... OXLC. Yes, that infamous yield trap is having a fabulous year. It has grown into my highest non-ETF position in the taxable account, edging out AVGO.
DFEN had the roughest day, but nothing terrible.

ROTH
MRNA up 17.10% ... yeah.
TTD lost some steam, down 3.24%.
Flat port. Commodities down and solar up strong.
