Nothing goes in an uninterrupted straight line for too long.  Especially not commodities.  Something will complicate things eventually.  I am about as exposed to oil as I care to be and I am glad I wasn't too stubborn.  I am not going to get too euphoric now.  If it runs through 120 oh well.  I am not giving back all my oil profits this time.
Lyn Alden dives into the oil market with another excellent article. She's a great follow in Twitter and Seeking Alpha for those who haven't read her before.

I'll read that soon.  Lyn is very smart on a lot of topics.
Bought EOG on the drop yesterday.

I was a day early on EOG but it was a put sell expiring next week and will probably turn out fine.  I did sell one more XLE put.  I am probably good on oil now since I am skeptical for a years long hold.

Lyn is saying if we enter super cycle, oil prices will keep rising for next 20 years or so.

Maybe I should skip this read.

When is OPEC meeting?  If they only increase production a little oil is going to run some more soon.  (Short of a real bad Delta Covid spike).

Should be interesting.  I believe they learned a lesson last year.  They are going to want to fill some demand without crushing the oil price trend.  In the end nations are going to ask them to keep oil from crashing economies trying to reopen.  It's a game but it seems more under control now.  We'll see.
