I know you all stare at NYSE stock tickers all day, and maybe stack your gold coins or inventory your stamp collection on a Saturday night lol.  Other than that, what are your passions?

I'm very into fly fishing the past five years.  Soon enough I'll recycle some of my old hobbies that are currently on hold.  I have a well equipped woodworking shop and that is my winter fun.  I used to restore old cars.  I've been a car guy all my life but my daily drivers are ridiculously in need of an upgrade.  I have a 1953 Ford F-100 and a 94 Mustang street/dragstrip car but they are on the back burner with my work schedule.  I enjoy gardening and intend to get back to that next year.  I'll post some PICs soon.
I started doing triathlons last year. Good way to stay in some sort of shape. Don't get me wrong, I'm a back of the pack finisher and I'm only at the short distance triathlons. Would love to do some longer ones, but don't have the time yet to train for the longer ones yet. Nice seeing even older men and women than me doing these so I know that I can keep doing it for a while. And I can keep finishing at the back of the pack when I'm older.

I think that's great Chad.  I was never particularly athletic, but my 30+ yr military career included a of of mandatory exercise.  I was a back of the pack guy in my early years.  When I put in the extra effort, I was towards the front of the pack guy mid-career.  It takes a lot of dedication to remain there.  I'm getting older and my back and hips need fixed again soon.  I can't run much at all now.  I look forward to getting back in shape.  It's a good feeling for sure.
What's this "fun" you're asking about??

Ha.

Work, parenting, and sleep account for almost all of my time! With whatever is left, I hit the gym when I've got the energy, spend a lot of quality time with my gf, and socialize a lot -- meeting up with local friends for drinks or hosting movie nights, or gathering online with my really old friends for laughing and video games. I watch a lot of movies, but usually socially. Also love to travel as much as I can -- in 2019 I went to NYC, Montreal, Madrid and Barcelona, Vermont, and Charlottesville VA.

I am perpetually on the verge of things easing up and allowing more free time. I really was getting there, but then surprised myself by buying a new house this year. So I'm in moving hell right now. But when things do ease up, I'd love to get back into reading and developing some other hobbies.

Definitely wish I was hand with my hands like you, F53 -- woodworking and fixing up cars sound really satisfying!
Travel - 84 countries visited so far, and 2.8 million miles flown.

Landscape and architecture photography.

Homebrewing. Having your own beer on draft is a truly wonderful thing.
Otter, You mentioned the travel hobby but I had no idea. 84 countries is quite the list. So where to next? Kerim. Your days of more relaxing will come if this DGI things works out.

Have a long weekend in Nice, France in October, November trip to Colombia (Medellin and coffee country nearby), and a long trip in December to Ethiopia’s highlands (Simien Mountains National Park), and then to see mountain gorillas at Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Rwanda will be country no. 85.

Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom and similar shows planted the travel bug in me at a young age. Made it my mission to pursue that once I was old enough to be independent and doing my own thing. Married someone like-minded, and no kids, so we try to do something new with longer trips 2-3 times per year, and rotate old favorites for weekends and long weekends in times between.

Work the points earning credit cards and sign-up bonuses hard to make the travel easier. Can get a lot of value from Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi Thank You, and Amex Membership Rewards transferred to the right airline program. The points/miles game is orders of magnitude worse than it was even five years ago due to constant devaluation and restrictions on credit card sign up bonuses, but there’s still value there that can exceed even the best cash-back cards if travel is a key goal. We put all of our spend on points-earning cards, and don’t carry balances.
You bunch of boring fuddy-duddies!!

SEX, DRUGS AND ROCK-N-ROLL MAN!!!! SLEEP ALL DAY AND UP ALL NIGHT, GANGSTER STYLE!!

Actually, I enjoy being home, going on one or two nice trips a year, gardening (even though I'm really bad at it), making wine (it is wine making season!!), spending time with my wife, family and friends and our beloved new puppy Rocco!

But something I've always enjoyed on a personal level, waking up really early in the morning, before the sun comes up, and brewing a nice cup of joe. It's nice to see the sun blossom, have thoughts in the brain, a hot cup of coffee with sounds of birds in the air. It's a good thing.
I'm a tabletop gamer. Pre-Covid I went to at least 6 gaming conventions a year. I currently have 3 internet D&D games going; one of which will return to in-person play after Covid ends. I'm thinking of starting a fourth since my teenage daughter needs very little supervision nowadays. ken-do-nim is also my handle over at the Dragonsfoot forums.
